When working on the hydraulic system of the power steering, make sure that it is absolutely clean.
Hydraulic pump and steering gear have the most accurate tolerances. This means that even the smallest dirt particles can cause a defect or the complete failure of the hydraulic system.

That's why it is really important that you pay attention to properly flushing and venting the hydraulic system.
How you purge and deflate the steering system, shows this guide.
We recommend you, no matter what work - whether on the piping system, steering gear or on the hydraulic pump - then always perform a service.

If the hydraulic pump or steering gear breaks down, the repair can be expensive. Therefore we recommend using only high-quality hydraulic oil in order to prevent damage to the steering system as far as possible.

Steering gear is one of the wear parts on the motor vehicle that can be reprocessed. In this way, important raw materials can obtained and returned to the cycle. The Take back of old steering gear parts is depending to certain criteria for reasons of usability.
