Anyone who has ever changed an ignition coil on the first-generation 1.6L Renault Megane knows that there is a lot to consider.
The difference lies in the detail ...
Cylinders 1 and 4 have a common ignition coil, as do cylinders 2 and 3. That means, two ignition coils for one engine. The special thing about it, is that it makes a distinction once again, for vehicles with ignition distributor and vehicles with fully electronic ignition. The difference lies in the connectors for the ignition cables.
So unplug the ignition cable from the ignition coil and look at the connector exactly!
But that is not how it remains! If you go after the construction year of the vehicle, you come from the month of 08/1998 - 02/1999 on a block ignition coil for all four cylinders. Be sure to look at the components you need and compare them as much as possible with pictures and the seller's item description.
If you still have doubts, don't hesitate to call the hotline. We will answer all open questions! Nothing is more annoying than to find out after delivery that you ordered the wrong part.
